Removable floppy disk drive module for Dell Latitude and Inspiron laptops. This 3.5-inch drive module reads and writes 1.44MB floppy disks and connects via proprietary Dell module connector to compatible laptop bays.

Applications

Floppy disk drive modules were used in Dell Latitude and Inspiron laptops from the 1990s and early 2000s to provide removable storage and boot capabilities. This module is compatible with Dell Latitude Cp, CPx, CPi, C600, C800, and LS series, as well as Dell Inspiron 2500, 3700, 3800, 4000, 8000, and 8200 series. These drives supported legacy software distribution and data transfer on systems predating widespread USB adoption.
