Applications

The Teac FD-235HF is a widely used OEM 3.5-inch floppy drive that appeared in Dell OptiPlex, Dimension, and Precision desktop systems throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s — the final era when floppy drives were standard equipment in IBM-compatible PCs. These drives are still sought out today for legacy system maintenance, keeping older Dell desktops operational where floppy-based software, BIOS flashing utilities, or data transfer from aging diskette archives is still required. Industrial and embedded systems from that era that boot from or depend on floppy media also commonly use this or equivalent slim 3.5-inch drives. The FD-235HF is a direct drop-in replacement for compatible Dell chassis that use the standard 34-pin floppy interface.

Condition: Used
This Dell 88672 Teac FD-235HF 3.5-inch internal floppy drive has been tested and is in working order. The drive shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with prior desktop installation — light scuffing on the metal chassis and some yellowing on the bezel. The rear 34-pin ribbon connector and board appear clean and undamaged. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions. Please note: We have multiple units in stock — yours may not be the one shown in the photos, however, it will be similar in condition and function.
