The Dell Latitude C/Dock (Model PDL, Assembly Part 8219P) is a full-featured desktop docking station designed for Dell Latitude C Series laptops. It connects via a proprietary high-density docking connector on the base of the laptop, instantly expanding connectivity to a full suite of desktop peripherals without plugging in individual cables. The docking station also provides a media bay that accepts an optional CD-ROM or floppy diskette drive module.

Applications
The Dell Latitude C/Dock was designed to give mobile users a seamless transition between desk and road. By dropping a compatible Latitude C Series laptop into the dock, users gained instant access to a full desktop port set — external monitor, network, legacy serial and parallel peripherals, and PCI expansion — without reconnecting individual cables. This docking station dates from the late 1990s to early 2000s, when Dell's Latitude C Series was a dominant business laptop line and port-replicating docks like this were standard issue in corporate and educational IT environments. Today, C/Dock units are primarily sought by organizations still maintaining legacy Latitude C Series systems, as well as collectors of early-2000s Dell hardware. The PCI expansion slot was a notable feature, allowing a single PCI card (such as a NIC or modem) to be installed in the dock itself rather than requiring a separate desktop machine.
