Applications
DB9-to-DB25 serial cables were standard for connecting computers and terminals to external modems, printers, and other peripherals throughout the 1980s and 1990s. Used with DOS systems, early Windows machines, Unix workstations, and industrial equipment. Commonly found in point-of-sale systems, manufacturing controls, and telecommunications setups where RS-232 connections were the primary data interface.
