Terminals of this type connected to a standard PSTN phone line to dial out to a payment processor, authorizing credit and debit transactions in real time. The built-in pin pad allowed customers to enter their PIN directly on the terminal for debit transactions, while the integrated thermal printer produced receipts on-site without a separate peripheral. The Talento series was particularly common in European markets. This Dassault Talento 2UD ICS credit card terminal has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The unit shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with prior use — light surface scuffs on the housing. The LCD display, keypad, built-in thermal printer, and rear ports (DB9 serial, Terminal, and LINE/RJ11) all appear intact and undamaged in our photos. The power adapter is included.
