The CTI Cryogenics 8143073G009 is a 9-inch pressurized braided flex cable designed for cryogenic gas transfer in helium refrigeration and cryostat systems. It features 90-degree elbow male fittings at both ends with Aeroquip 5400-S5-4 nuts and a stainless steel braided outer sheath over a flexible inner line, rated for 325 PSIG service pressure. Designated 054-01 NMR, this cable is a purpose-built CTI Cryogenics replacement or interconnect component for use in cryopump and cold head plumbing.

Applications

This type of pressurized braided cryogenic cable is used to connect cryogenic gas lines — primarily helium — between the compressor and cold head in CTI Cryogenics cryopump systems, such as those found in the Cryo-Torr, On-Board, and 8F/9F series cryopumps widely used in semiconductor process equipment, vacuum coating systems, and research instruments. The 90-degree elbow fittings allow routing in tight spaces within vacuum system frames, and the stainless braided construction handles the mechanical flex and thermal cycling inherent in cryogenic service. These cables are a standard service and replacement part for CTI compressor and cold head plumbing, and are also used in NMR magnet systems and other low-temperature scientific apparatus requiring rated-pressure helium interconnects.
