Description
CTI Cryogenics 8042002G003 Cryogenic Temperature Indicator 10-350 Kelvin Helix
The CTI-Cryogenics 8042002G003 is an analog panel-mount temperature indicator designed for monitoring cryogenic system temperatures over a range of 10 to 350 Kelvin. It accepts a cryogenic sensor input via a rear-panel circular connector and drives a large, easy-to-read analog meter with a calibrated Kelvin scale. Two adjustable set points — Low Set Point and High Set Point — each provide relay contact outputs (NC, NO, and C) for alarm or control integration. Manufactured by CTI-Cryogenics in Mansfield, Massachusetts (a Helix Technology company), this instrument was a standard monitoring component in cryopump and cryogenic vacuum system installations.

Applications
CTI-Cryogenics (later part of Helix Technology and subsequently Brooks Automation) was one of the leading manufacturers of cryopumps and cryogenic vacuum equipment used in semiconductor fabrication, thin-film deposition, and research vacuum systems. The 8042002G003 temperature indicator was used to monitor the cold head and cryopanel temperatures in these cryogenic systems, providing operators with a direct readout in Kelvin and allowing set point alarms or interlock relay outputs to be configured for low- and high-temperature thresholds. Typical applications include cryopump regeneration monitoring, vacuum chamber temperature control, and cryostat temperature readout in PVD, CVD, ion implant, and research environments. This type of instrument is still sought after for maintaining legacy CTI-Cryogenics cryopump installations and as a standalone Kelvin-range temperature monitor in laboratory and industrial cryogenic setups.
This CTI-Cryogenics 8042002G003 Cryogenic Temperature Indicator has been pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. The unit has been visually inspected and photographed. The front panel shows mild discoloration and surface wear consistent with lab use. The enclosure, meter face, front-panel buttons, and rear terminal blocks all appear intact. The power cable is attached and included as shown. Cosmetic wear is typical for used lab instrumentation of this type.
