This is a liquid-nitrogen-cooled CCD (charge-coupled device) imaging detector assembly made by Cryogenic Associates of Indianapolis, Indiana. The assembly consists of a blue cylindrical LN2 dewar, an aluminum vacuum chamber body housing the detector, a lid/flange plate with internal wiring, and a vacuum valve with brass barbed fitting. The detector face — visible through the circular aperture on the chamber face — is a rectangular CCD sensor array with an orange/gold-colored anti-reflection coating and a black O-ring vacuum seal. The seller is uncertain of the exact model designation or the system this was originally part of.

  This Cryogenic Associates LN2-cooled CCD detector vacuum chamber assembly has been visually inspected and appears to be in good used condition. Photos show the unit has been disassembled for documentation purposes — the blue LN2 dewar, aluminum vacuum chamber body, lid/flange plate, and wiring are all present. The detector face (visible through the chamber aperture) appears clean and intact, and the MIL-spec multi-pin feedthrough connectors and vacuum valve assembly show no obvious damage. The exact configuration and intended system this was pulled from are unknown. This unit has not been powered or tested at our facility.
