CRL 2200RP Wet Abrasive Belt Sander Roller Platen Baldor 115/230V 1725 RPM
The CRL 2200RP is a floor-standing wet abrasive belt sander built around a vertical belt configuration with a roller platen contact point. It is designed for wet sanding and finishing of glass, stone, tile, and similar hard materials, using water flood cooling to keep the workpiece and belt lubricated during the grinding or finishing pass. The machine is mounted on a welded steel base frame with caster wheels for shop mobility.

Applications
Wet abrasive belt sanders of this type are standard equipment in glass fabrication shops, stone and tile shops, and lapidary studios. The CRL 2200RP is designed primarily for edge sanding, flat grinding, and surface finishing of glass panels, mirrors, stone slabs, and ceramic tile, where dry sanding would generate hazardous silica or glass dust. The continuous water flood cools the abrasive belt and workpiece, extends belt life, and suppresses airborne particles. The roller platen contact configuration allows consistent pressure over flat or gently curved surfaces, making these machines well-suited for finishing cut glass edges before polishing. CRL (C.R. This CRL 2200RP Wet Abrasive Belt Sander has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition overall. It was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. A small piece of the plastic splash shield is broken off. The machine shows normal wear consistent with industrial use — the power cord and plug show heavy use soiling, there is mineral scale buildup on the water plumbing fittings inside the sump basin, and the base frame has some paint chips and surface scuffs. The rubber drive roller, guide rollers, platen assembly, Baldor motor, ASCO solenoid valve, water catch sump, and rolling steel base are all present.
