Applications
This keyboard was designed for Compaq desktop computers and IBM-compatible PCs equipped with a PS/2 port, which was the dominant keyboard interface standard throughout the 1990s and into the early 2000s. This Compaq 121740-001 104-Key PS/2 Keyboard has been inspected and is in good used condition overall. The keys are present and the keyboard shows the yellowing typical of beige plastic from this era. One keycap is missing — the key adjacent to F11 (near the F12 position) is absent, exposing the switch stem underneath. The PS/2 cable and orange 5-pin DIN connector appear intact and undamaged. The keyboard was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use; it has not been bench-tested or powered at our facility.
