The Codax Speed Lead LR-48 is a self-contained trade show lead retrieval system designed for exhibitors to capture and print visitor badge data on the spot. It combines a barcode badge scanner input, an automatic lead printer, an LCD display, a numeric keypad, and a 3.5" floppy disk drive in a single portable unit. Produced by Speed Lead Info Systems and manufactured in the USA, the LR-48 dates from 1998 and was a widely used tool at trade shows and conventions throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Applications
The Speed Lead LR-48 was designed for exhibitors at trade shows, conferences, and conventions who needed a simple, stand-alone way to capture visitor contact data from scanned badges. Rather than relying on a laptop or separate printer, the LR-48 handled everything in one unit — scan the attendee badge, and the lead printed automatically on the built-in printer. Leads could also be saved to a standard 3.5" floppy disk for later import into a contact database. The system was popular in the late 1990s through the mid-2000s trade show market, particularly for smaller exhibitor booths that needed a reliable, easy-to-operate lead capture solution without complex setup. The universal 115V/230V power input made it suitable for international events as well.
This Codax Speed Lead LR-48 badge scanner and lead retrieval system has been inspected and is in good used condition. The unit powers up and the housing is intact with light surface wear consistent with trade show use. The front-panel LCD display, keypad, built-in printer, and 3.5" floppy drive are all present.
