Applications

The Clippard Minimatic series valves are compact, mechanically actuated pneumatic valves designed for use in pneumatic logic circuits, instrumentation, and light-duty fluid control applications. The MTV-5 toggle valve is used to manually switch air flow on or off in small pneumatic systems — common in laboratory automation, medical instrumentation, analytical equipment, and industrial process control panels. Clippard Instrument Laboratory has manufactured Minimatic valves in Cincinnati, Ohio since the 1940s, and this series became a standard component in precision pneumatic systems throughout the mid-to-late 20th century. These valves remain in demand for repair, maintenance, and replacement in legacy pneumatic systems as well as for new low-flow pneumatic circuit design.
