Digital Convergence CueCat 68-1965 Optical Barcode Scanner PS/2 Keyboard Pass-Thru

The Digital Convergence CueCat (model 68-1965) is a handheld optical barcode scanner that connects between a PS/2 keyboard and a PC, using a keyboard pass-through design that required no separate power source or driver software beyond a companion application. It reads standard linear barcodes and outputs decoded data as keystrokes directly to the host computer. The CueCat was originally distributed free of charge by Digital Convergence in partnership with magazines, retailers, and advertisers around 2000–2001 as part of a media-linking marketing platform.
