    From the Manufacture

    The Capstone C65 microturbine provides a nominal electrical power output of 65 kW (81 kVA), operating on 400-480 VAC 3-phase, 4-wire Wye voltage. It is designed for continuous duty as a grid-connect or dual-mode unit and can be configured as a Combined Heat and Power (CHP) system to produce up to 150 kW of thermal energy, achieving up to 90% total system efficiency

    Key output specifications for the C65 Model include:

  • Electrical Efficiency: ~29% (LHV).
  • Voltage: 400-480 VAC at 50/60 Hz.
  • Exhaust Gas Temperature: 309°C (588°F) (heat recovery bypassed). Exhaust Gas Flow: 0.49 kg/s (1.08 lbm/s).
  • Thermal Output (ICHP): Up to 122 kW (0.42 MMBTU/hr) of hot water with a copper core or 70 kW (0.24 MMBTU/hr) with a stainless steel core.
  • Emissions: < 9 ppmvd (18-19 mg/m³) \(NO_{x}\) @ 15% \(O_{2}\).
  • Fuels: Natural gas, propane, biogas.
  • The unit is commonly installed for reliable distributed power generation and can be paralleled with other units to produce up to 30 MW.
