Applications
Canon's J-series B4-mount lenses were the standard for professional ENG (electronic news gathering) and EFP (electronic field production) broadcast cameras from the 1980s through the early 2000s. The 2/3-inch B4 mount became the industry-standard interface for broadcast-grade camera platforms from Sony, Ikegami, Hitachi, and Panasonic, and lenses like the J15X9.5 were commonplace on studio and field cameras at television stations worldwide. The 15x zoom range and wide 9.5mm start made this focal length particularly popular for run-and-gun news work and documentary production. B4-mount lenses continue to be used today on legacy broadcast cameras kept in service for studio, institutional, and archival production, and the Canon J15X9.5 B4 KRS remains a sought-after option for operators maintaining Sony DXC-series and similar 2/3-inch camera platforms.
This Canon J15X9.5 B4 KRS professional broadcast lens is in good used condition. The lens optics are clean with no visible haze, dust, or fungus, and the external body shows only light handling wear consistent with careful field use. The zoom and focus rings operate smoothly. Includes the 6-pin cable adapter for Sony DXC-M2 cameras. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
