Applications
The Canon BX-3 is the replacement ink cartridge for Canon's BJ (bubble jet) fax machines from the 1990s and early 2000s, specifically the Faxphone B540, Faxphone B550, and MultiPASS 800. These Canon Faxphone and MultiPASS machines used bubble jet inkjet technology rather than thermal paper, producing plain-paper fax output. The MultiPASS 800 was a multifunction device combining fax, copier, and printer capabilities in one unit. Replacement BX-3 cartridges are still sought after by users maintaining these machines in service, as well as collectors and users of legacy Canon fax equipment.
