This is a wall section for the M-1942 GP Large military tent, manufactured by Camel Manufacturing in the USA. It is constructed from heavy-gauge oiled duck canvas — the same material specified for U.S. military shelter systems — and is new and unused, stored in its original duck canvas gunny sack. The section includes all original hardware: riveted metal clips along the edges and an integrated manila rope with metal grommet at the corner.

Applications

The M-1942 General Purpose (GP) Large tent is a U.S. military-specification shelter used for field command posts, medical aid stations, supply storage, and troop assembly since World War II. The tent system is modular: it consists of a center frame assembly, a roof fly, and a series of wall sections that attach at the deck edge using hooks and D-rings, as shown in the included erection instruction drawing (Step 7 and Step 9). This wall section forms part of the exterior perimeter of the assembled tent. The oiled duck canvas construction provides water resistance and durability in field conditions. Beyond their intended military shelter use, these panels are widely sought as heavy-duty tarps for covering vehicles, RVs, trailers, firewood, or equipment — the thick oiled canvas outlasts most synthetic alternatives in outdoor storage applications.
