The Cabletron Smartswitch 9C406 is the fan and environment package designed for the Cabletron Smartswitch chassis. It provides active cooling via two NMB (Minebea) DC brushless fan motors mounted in a 1U rackmount tray, and connects to the switch backplane through a large multi-pin edge connector. The chassis and fan assembly show normal cosmetic wear consistent with prior rack-mounted use. Both NMB 5920PL-07W-B49 48V DC brushless fans are present and intact, and the multi-pin board connector appears clean and undamaged.
