The Busch SV 1016 B 000 1HXX is a dry rotary vane vacuum pump that runs without oil, using self-lubricating carbon vanes and sealed-for-life ball bearings. It achieves an ultimate pressure of 150 hPa (mbar) and is driven by an ATB three-phase motor rated at 0.55 kW. Because it uses no process oil, it produces a clean, dry exhaust and generates no oil mist or oil waste. The unit is manufactured in Switzerland by Ateliers Busch S.A.

Applications

Busch SV-series dry rotary vane pumps are used in industrial and laboratory processes where an oil-free vacuum source is required. Common applications include packaging machinery (MAP/vacuum packaging), pick-and-place handling systems, printing and paper handling, woodworking and CNC router vacuum tables, medical and dental equipment, and general laboratory vacuum service. Because the pump runs dry, it is well suited to processes where oil contamination of the pumped gas stream is not acceptable. The SV 1016 is a compact, single-stage pump in the lower end of Busch's SV range, making it a practical choice for benchtop and small-system vacuum requirements. Busch vacuum pumps have been manufactured in Switzerland since the 1960s and the SV series carbon-vane design has been a workhorse in light industrial and packaging applications for several decades.

This Busch SV 1016 B 000 1HXX dry rotary vane vacuum pump is in used condition and was pulled from a working industrial environment where it had been in service. The unit has been visually inspected and photographed. The black cast housing shows general use wear consistent with industrial service. Photo 5 shows surface rust around the top inlet port fitting and surrounding hardware — buyers should note this. The exhaust grille on the rear face is present and intact. The motor junction box and both nameplates (pump and motor) are present and legible. No testing was performed at our facility.
