The Black Box IC485A is a standalone desktop interface converter that bridges RS-232 serial equipment to RS-485 multi-drop networks. It accepts an RS-232 signal on its DB25 input port and outputs a balanced RS-485 signal, enabling RS-232 devices such as computers, controllers, and terminals to communicate over longer distances and multi-point RS-485 wiring runs. The unit is self-contained in a compact black desktop enclosure with LED status indicators on the top panel.

This Black Box IC485A RS-232 to RS-485 Interface Converter has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. It was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use. The unit shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with prior service use. The included Condor AC adapter (plug-in Class 2 transformer, 120V in / 17VCT 0.7A out) is present and included with the unit.
