Applications
This power supply is used to drive gel electrophoresis systems, which separate proteins and nucleic acids by electrical charge. This Bio-Rad Laboratories 1420 Electrophoresis DC Power Supply is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. The unit is known to have two bad rocker switches located beneath the WATT and AMP meters on the front panel. During in-house testing, the supply did power on and produced adjustable DC voltage output when connected to our 19 VDC test load. No further functional testing was performed beyond that, and additional issues we are unaware of may be present. The green and yellow enclosure shows general wear consistent with lab use.
