The Best Power Technology LI660VA is a desktop/tower uninterruptible power supply from the Fortress series, rated at 660 VA and 400 watts. It provides battery-backed AC power to connected equipment during outages or voltage events, with a front-panel LCD display and status indicators for alarm, battery, and line conditions. Seven front-panel function buttons allow real-time monitoring of battery voltage, output voltage, runtime estimate, and load percentage. Note: Batteries are not included with this unit.

The LI660VA is a line-interactive UPS, meaning it actively regulates incoming voltage within a normal range without switching to battery, extending battery life for actual outage events. The Fortress line was a mid-1990s product aimed at small office and workgroup environments, and units like this are still used today for protecting legacy industrial equipment, older servers, medical instruments, networking hardware, and any load-sensitive devices where a clean, regulated power source matters. The DB-9 serial port allows communication with a connected computer for software-controlled shutdown during extended outages. Replacement batteries are widely available, making these units straightforward to return to full service.
