Description

10 MHz 5 Pole Bessel Low Pass Filter 50 Ohm BNC In/Out RF Metal Enclosure

This is a 5-pole Bessel low pass filter with a 10 MHz cutoff frequency and 50-ohm input/output impedance. It is housed in a compact, flanged blue metal enclosure with BNC connectors on opposite faces — one labeled IN and one labeled OUT. The specifications are printed on a label affixed to the top of the enclosure, confirming the filter type, pole count, impedance, and cutoff.

Specifications & What's Included

  • Filter type: Bessel
  • Topology: Low Pass
  • Cutoff frequency: 10.0 MHz
  • Number of poles: 5
  • Input impedance: 50 Ohm
  • Output impedance: 50 Ohm
  • Input connector: BNC (labeled IN)
  • Output connector: BNC (labeled OUT)
  • Enclosure: blue painted metal housing with flange mounting feet
  • Mounting: bottom flanges with mounting holes for panel or bench installation
  • Includes: filter module only — no cables or adapters

Applications

Bessel low pass filters are used in RF and analog signal processing to attenuate frequencies above the cutoff while preserving the phase linearity of signals below it. Unlike Butterworth or Chebyshev designs, a Bessel filter is optimized for maximally flat group delay, which makes it particularly well suited for applications where pulse shape and time-domain waveform integrity matter — such as in oscilloscope calibration setups, data acquisition systems, and pulse/waveform test benches. A 10 MHz, 5-pole Bessel LPF in a 50-ohm system is commonly used to band-limit signals ahead of an ADC or digitizer, to clean up a signal source before measurement, or to remove high-frequency noise from a reference signal in a lab or test environment. The flanged metal enclosure allows for easy bench use or panel mounting, and the BNC connectors make it directly compatible with standard RF test and measurement cabling.

Condition: Used
This 10 MHz 5-Pole Bessel Low Pass Filter has been visually inspected and is in good used condition. The blue metal enclosure shows light surface wear consistent with prior use, but is intact with no cracks or damage. Both BNC connectors (IN and OUT) are clean and undamaged. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
