This is a passive 5-pole Bessel low pass filter with a 4.5 MHz cutoff frequency and 50 ohm input/output impedance. It is housed in a compact shielded metal enclosure with panel-mount BNC female connectors on each end, labeled IN and OUT. The Bessel topology is chosen for its maximally flat group delay (linear phase response), which minimizes signal distortion and ringing on the filtered waveform — a key advantage over Butterworth or Chebyshev designs when waveform fidelity matters more than sharp rolloff.

This Bessel 4.5 MHz 5-pole low pass filter has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The metal housing shows minor surface wear consistent with prior use, but the chassis is intact and the BNC connectors on both the input and output ends are clean and undamaged.
