This Barnes-Desenberg Model 5 Optical Lens Curve Generator has been inspected and is in good used condition overall. It was pulled from a working environment where it was in active use and functional. The machine shows age-appropriate wear throughout: surface rust is visible on the lower column, around the work table area, and on the internal drive compartment components (visible through the access panel). The green painted cast iron frame has typical chips, scratches, and paint loss consistent with decades of shop use. The work table and tooling surfaces show abrasive compound residue and minor pitting. The electrical control cabinet is intact with its contactors and wiring visible and appearing complete.
