Description
Avaya AT&T Lucent 631WB1 System 75 G3 PBX Power Unit 48VDC 9.3A 100-240V
The AT&T 631WB1 is a slide-in power unit (custom DC rectifier) designed for use in AT&T, Lucent, and Avaya System 75 and System 75 G3 PBX telephone systems. It converts AC mains power to a regulated 48V DC output to supply the PBX cabinet's internal electronics and line cards. A voltage select switch (S1) on the front panel allows configuration for 120V or 220V AC supply environments. Per the rating plate, a fan is required for cooling and the unit must be installed in a controlled environment.

Applications
The System 75 was AT&T's mid-range digital PBX platform introduced in the mid-1980s, aimed at medium to large enterprise voice communications. It evolved through several generations — including the System 75 G3 — before the AT&T Enterprise Networks division became Lucent Technologies in 1996 and subsequently Avaya in 2000. The 631WB1 power unit fits directly into the System 75 cabinet chassis, providing the regulated 48V DC bus that powers the system's port circuit packs and processor cards. Replacement power units for these legacy systems remain in demand by organizations that continue to operate System 75 / Definity G3 infrastructure or are maintaining spare parts inventories for aging installations. Telecom service providers, legacy PBX resellers, and enterprise IT departments supporting long-running Avaya/Lucent telephony platforms are the primary buyers for this type of surplus power module.
This AT&T Avaya Lucent 631WB1 System 75 PBX Power Unit has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. It was pulled from a working telecom environment where it was previously in service. The unit shows normal wear consistent with use in a rack-mount installation — the metal chassis has light surface oxidation visible on the sides, and the caution/warning labels are intact and legible. The rating plate, voltage select switch (S1), and backplane connector are all present and undamaged. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility.
