Applications
The AudioControl D4400 Director was designed for structured-wiring whole-home audio installations and commercial distributed audio systems where a single rack-mounted amplifier must independently drive multiple speaker zones. It is well-suited to custom AV integration projects, hospitality environments, and commercial facilities that require per-zone DSP control, network programmability, and the ability to manage sources and trigger devices across a building. The Ethernet-based DHCP control interface allows integration with network-based home automation systems. This AudioControl D4400 Director 16-Channel Network Power Amplifier powers on, but during our bench evaluation we were unable to obtain audio output from any channel. We are not specialists in this product's network setup and configuration, and it is possible the unit requires software or network programming to function correctly — however, we cannot confirm this and are therefore listing it honestly as-is for parts or repair. The unit is in reasonably clean cosmetic condition with normal wear consistent with installed use. The rear panel shows all zone inputs, Bus 1/Bus 2 connectors, Ethernet port, speaker terminal blocks, and IEC AC inlet all appear intact and undamaged. Rack mounting brackets are included.
