Applications
This supply unit was designed for the HP 7963B external hard disk drive, a 304MB HPIB-interface storage device used in HP computer systems from the 1980s. The unit supplies power to the drive's spindle motor, read/write head actuators, and control electronics. Compatible with HP 7963B systems and similar Hewlett-Packard peripherals operating on dual voltage supplies.

This Astec BM200-4401 power supply has been tested at our facility and is in good working order. The unit shows moderate external wear consistent with its age and prior service life — the sheet-metal housing has a dusty, somewhat oxidized appearance throughout, visible on all panels in our photos. The top-mounted cooling fan and secondary fan appear intact. The IEC AC inlet, red rocker switch, and multi-pin output connector block are all present and undamaged.
