Applications
The Artisoft PCB 2000/C was designed for use with Artisoft LANtastic, one of the most widely used peer-to-peer networking solutions of the late 1980s and early 1990s. LANtastic networks were common in small offices and workgroups running MS-DOS and early Windows systems on ISA-bus PCs. The 10Base2 BNC interface connects into coaxial thinnet segments, a topology prevalent before twisted-pair 10Base-T became dominant. This card is sought today primarily for maintaining or restoring vintage LANtastic networks, legacy DOS-based computing setups, and ISA-bus PC restorations where period-correct networking hardware is required.
This Artisoft PCB 2000/C 16-bit ISA network card has been visually inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The PCB is clean with no visible damage, cracked traces, or broken components. The BNC connector and bracket are intact. The card shows light shelf wear consistent with surplus storage.
