Applications
The 614-0003 is the original internal power supply for Apple's LC line of affordable consumer Macintosh desktops, introduced starting in 1990. These low-profile, pizza-box-style machines were among Apple's most popular home and education computers of the early-to-mid 1990s, and this supply is the correct replacement or spare for that entire platform. Compatible systems include the Mac LC, LCII, and LCIII, the Mac LC 475, the Quadra 605 (which shared the LC 475 chassis), and the Performa 400 series and Performa 475 — all of which use the same proprietary chassis and power connector. Today this supply is sought primarily by vintage Mac collectors and restorers maintaining or reviving LC-family systems, since original Apple-spec replacements have become increasingly scarce.
