Applications
CTI-Cryogenics (now part of Brooks Automation / Sumitomo) cryogenic vacuum pumps use an external helium compressor — such as the CTI 8200, 9600, or similar units — connected to the cold head via a matched pair of high-pressure flexible lines exactly like these. The send and return lines carry compressed helium to and from the cold head's Gifford-McMahon refrigerator cycle, maintaining the cryopump at temperatures low enough (typically 10–20 K at the first stage, below 20 K at the second stage) to condense and trap gas molecules. These lines are found in semiconductor fabrication equipment (ion implanters, sputtering systems, evaporators, MBE chambers), particle physics instruments, research cryostats, and any vacuum system using a CTI cryo pump. The 10-foot length is one of the most common standard lengths, giving enough reach for typical equipment rack and tool configurations. Replacement or spare flex lines are regularly needed in labs and fab facilities where aging lines develop leaks at the fittings or the braiding shows wear.

The stainless steel braided hoses show normal aging and surface oxidation on the metal fittings, as visible in our photos — particularly at the collar on at least one end fitting. The braided jacketing and quick-disconnect fittings appear intact with no visible kinking or damage to the hose bodies.
