Description
AMI Titan-II Dual Processor Server Motherboard Socket 5/6 EISA PCI 1994 Rev-B1
The AMI Titan-II is a dual-processor server system board manufactured by American Megatrends, Inc. (AMI) in 1994, designed to support dual Intel Pentium processors in the Socket 5 or Socket 6 form factor. It combines an EISA bus backbone with a PCI local bus, making it one of the more capable server platforms of its mid-1990s generation. The board carries the Series-711 designation at hardware revision B1, as clearly silkscreened on the PCB.

Applications
The AMI Titan-II was built for the mid-1990s server market, a period when dual-Pentium systems represented the high end of x86 server performance. EISA (Extended Industry Standard Architecture) was the dominant high-bandwidth server bus of the early-to-mid 1990s, offering 32-bit throughput and backward compatibility with ISA cards — widely used in file servers, database servers, and network servers before PCI fully displaced it by the late 1990s. The combination of EISA and PCI slots on this board reflects the transitional era when PCI was being adopted for its speed while EISA remained valued for server I/O controllers and network adapters. Boards like the Titan-II are sought today by collectors and historians of vintage PC server hardware, as well as those maintaining legacy server environments. AMI, best known as a BIOS manufacturer, also produced a line of server motherboards in this era under their own label.
This AMI American Megatrends Titan-II dual-processor server motherboard has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. It was pulled from a working server environment where it was previously in service. The board shows normal aging consistent with mid-1990s server hardware — light surface dust and minor oxidation typical of stored boards — but no visible cracks, broken traces, or damaged socket pins are apparent in the photos. Both dual Socket 5/6 CPU sockets appear intact. The board ships without CPUs, RAM, cables, or mounting hardware. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
