This is an aluminum CD/DVD manufacturing spindle with a solid two-tier base and a 10-inch vertical post. Spindles of this type are used to stack, transport, and stage optical discs during CD and DVD production and duplication. The post slides through the disc hub, keeping discs aligned and protected while in process or in storage. This listing features the solid-base version (no mounting holes); a version with a drilled mounting base is also available.

Applications

CD and DVD manufacturing spindles are standard tooling in optical disc replication and duplication facilities. They are used throughout the production line to stack and hold disc blanks or finished discs during printing, labeling, inspection, packaging, and inter-station transport. The center post engages the disc hub hole (standard 15 mm) to keep discs centered and prevent edge contact during handling. Solid-base spindles sit stably on any flat surface, while drilled-base versions can be bolted to conveyor pallets, trays, or packaging fixtures.
