Applications
The NanoMate HD is part of Advion BioSciences' NanoMate platform, which introduced chip-based electrospray ionization as an alternative to conventional pulled-tip nano-ESI emitters. The system uses disposable silicon nanoESI chips — each chip contains hundreds of individual spray nozzles — to deliver samples directly from a standard 96- or 384-well plate into a mass spectrometer. This approach eliminates cross-contamination between samples and provides highly consistent spray performance across a plate. The NanoMate platform is used in proteomics for top-down and bottom-up protein analysis, in metabolomics for small-molecule profiling, in drug discovery for compound screening, and in structural biology for native mass spectrometry experiments. The HD version features an updated head assembly and improved positioning mechanics relative to earlier NanoMate generations. These systems are compatible with a wide range of mass spectrometers including instruments from Waters, Thermo Scientific, Bruker, and AB Sciex, typically interfaced via the manufacturer's standard ESI source flange or a custom adapter plate. This Advion BioSciences NanoMate HD nano-electrospray robot has been inspected and is in good used condition. It was pulled from a working lab environment where it was in active use. The white enclosure shows minor surface scuffs and light wear typical of bench use, but there is no cracking or major cosmetic damage visible. The internal robotic arm, linear rail, and head assembly appear intact and undamaged. The aluminum base frame is present and secure.
