Applications
The UD5007 was Marantz's flagship universal disc player, positioned at the top of their consumer AV lineup when introduced in the early 2010s. Universal disc players of this type serve as the optical disc transport and audio/video decoding hub in a home theater system, connecting to an AV receiver or display via HDMI. The UD5007's SACD and DVD-Audio capability makes it particularly relevant to high-resolution audio enthusiasts, as SACD playback requires a dedicated player — standard Blu-ray players do not support the format. The network streaming features were current for the era, adding services like Netflix and YouTube alongside local DLNA playback. Units like this are sought by repair technicians, audio enthusiasts looking for a parts donor, or hobbyists comfortable servicing optical disc mechanisms.
This Marantz UD5007 3D Blu-ray/SACD/DVD/CD player is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. The unit powers on, but the disc tray does not open when the eject button is pressed. Because the tray would not open, we were unable to test audio or video output. The chassis shows light scuffing and general handling wear consistent with prior use. It is sold with no guarantees of functionality. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
