Applications
EVA encapsulant film is a core material in the manufacture and repair of crystalline silicon and thin-film photovoltaic modules. During the lamination process, EVA sheets are placed on both sides of the solar cell string — between the front glass and the cells, and between the cells and the rear backsheet — then heat- and pressure-bonded in a solar laminator. The EVA melts and cross-links to form a durable, transparent, moisture-resistant encapsulant layer that protects the cells from mechanical stress, humidity, and UV degradation over the panel's service life. The Type TL designation in the jurasol product line refers to a standard transparent laminating grade. This width (1116mm) is well-suited for standard 60- and 72-cell module formats commonly used in commercial and industrial solar panel production.
