T1 DSU/CSU modem for establishing and managing T1 leased line connections. This unit converts T1 network signals to DTE format for terminal equipment and includes dual DTE ports for connection to computers or networking devices.

Applications
T1 DSU/CSU modems were used to terminate T1 leased lines from telephone carriers and interface with mainframe computers, routers, and data communications equipment. These units were common in enterprise networks throughout the 1990s and 2000s for branch office connectivity and WAN applications. The Acculink 3160 supported DTE connections to systems requiring synchronous T1 protocols.
