Seagate ST43401ND 4.3GB HDV High Voltage Differential SCSI Hard Drive 5.25" FH Wide 68-Pin Connector - 992004 Brand New Vintage Drive
Here is a comment about this drive from a good Samaritan who knows a bit about how these drives can be used. Hello , just a hint from me --- I have some information's for these HVD (High Voltage Differential) hard disks: They simply won't work with a normal single ended or LVD SCSI controller. In the worst case they can even destroy the host controller and /or the hard disk electronics. The only viable way to use these HD's is: 1. use a HVD SCSI controller (Adapter AHA 2944UW) with HVD Terminator (not the normal Terminator) and 2. use a HVD->LVD/Single ended converter ($70) , then you can use the HVD hard disk as any "normal" single ended HD. Best regards, Helmut
Condition: Open Box
This this is a brand new hard drive excess from maintenance spares of a large computer hardware reseller and maintenance company. This drive is open box as they were packed in large box with 5 drives.
